About IPIN
What We Do
The Intellectual Property Institute Nigeria (IPIN) works to strengthen intellectual property practice, policy, awareness and use in Nigeria.
Build Professional Capacity
We provide education, training and professional development for lawyers, IP practitioners and others working with intellectual property. Our programmes build the knowledge and practical skills needed for effective IP practice.
Shape IP Policy
We contribute research and professional expertise to discussions on intellectual property law, policy and institutional practice, supporting the development of a stronger IP system in Nigeria.
Support Innovation and Creativity
We help creators, innovators, businesses and institutions understand intellectual property and make informed decisions about the ownership, protection, management and use of their IP.
Extend IP Awareness
We bring intellectual property education to schools, communities and wider audiences, helping more people understand what IP is, why it matters and how it relates to what they create.
Support IP Initiatives
We support initiatives, partnerships and platforms that promote intellectual property, innovation and creativity in Nigeria, with particular interest in creating opportunities for young people to engage with IP.
Together, these areas reflect IPIN's role in building stronger people, institutions and systems for intellectual property in Nigeria.
