The Help Desk provides information, orientation and general guidance. It does not provide individual legal advice, legal representation or litigation services. Instead, we signpost: for a filing, we will name and link the specific registry that handles it, such as the Trademarks, Patents and Designs Registry or the Nigerian Copyright Commission; for a dispute or contract that needs a lawyer, we will point you to the Nigerian Bar Association's directory of practitioners. You leave every enquiry knowing exactly who to contact next, not with a vague referral.
