Fellow
Fellowship
A distinct category of relationship and recognition, entered by nomination and appointment, not application.
Fellowship recognizes individuals whose contribution to the growth of intellectual property practice in Nigeria has been significant and sustained. It sits alongside Student Membership and Membership as a distinct category, not a tier reached by progressing through either of them.
IPIN looks for evidence of contribution over time, such as advancing IP practice, policy, research, or public understanding of intellectual property in Nigeria, rather than any single achievement or years in practice alone. Fellows carry the designation as a mark of standing within the profession, and may be invited to contribute to IPIN's own certification standards, research, and public programmes.
